This I Believe

Just found out my This I Believe essay continues to be the #2 most viewed essay out of more than 31,000 on the website. To date it’s been read by almost 36,500 people. It will also be published in the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters newsletter.
I always think about little girls just like me who are in a bad situation, and they don’t understand that it has nothing to do with them. It’s a hard concept for people who haven’t experienced it, but for those that do, I hope I can help them. That is my goal.
What humbles me most about this is knowing that God has turned something so negative in my childhood into a positive thing. That I can talk about my happy life now because He gave me the strength to survive. It is amazing – and truly a blessing.
